Since 27 September 2026 it is mandatory to show EU consumers the harmonised legal guarantee notice, in the official format set by Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2025/1960. This app puts it in your Shopify store with the Commission's official graphic — the EU emblem, colours and QR code, untouched — in each customer's language.
What the rules require
Directive (EU) 2024/825 requires traders to remind consumers, prominently and before they buy, that a legal guarantee of conformity of at least two years applies. Regulation 2025/1960 sets how: a notice whose text, colours and QR code cannot be modified. If the producer gives a free durability guarantee of more than two years, the GARAN label (Annex II) must be shown as well.
What the app does
- Official notice with the EU emblem, original image in all 24 EU languages, linked to the Your Europe page.
- Only where it applies: choose countries (the EU by default); hidden in the UK, the US and the rest.
- Product page, cart, cart drawer, store-wide strip and order email, compact or full design, no JavaScript.
- Official GARAN label with years, brand and model, full or nested.
- Period per country: a line next to the notice with each state's legal guarantee (3 years in Spain, Portugal and Sweden; 2 in most) and a link to that country's official source. You can edit each country's text and restore the original.
- Automatic exclusions: digital products, gift cards, services and B2B customers don't see the notice.
- Second-hand notice with the reduced period each country allows, by product tag.
- Live in under 5 minutes: direct links to turn on each block, a live check of your storefront and an admin-only test mode.

Plans are billed by Shopify in US dollars on your Shopify invoice.
FAQ
Is it mandatory?
Yes, for anyone selling goods to EU consumers, since 27 September 2026. Penalties are set by each Member State.
Can I change the notice?
No: the official graphic cannot be edited. What you can edit is the line with your country's period shown next to it.
Do I need Shopify Plus?
