Improve the quality of your store's images and convert them to Webp. Webp is the format recommended by Google, which means Google will reward your store for using it. In the module settings you can test how your store's images improve.

Requirements:

  1. To work properly, the module requires PHP 5 > 5.5.0 or PHP 7 as a minimum.
  2. To use the advanced WebP conversion features, your server must have the "WebP Support" option enabled in PHP's GD library configuration.

You should also know which browser versions support Webp.

Which PrestaShop versions does the Línea Gráfica image optimizer support?

It works with PrestaShop 1.7.0 to 9.2, including versions 8 and 9. Its ImageManager override varies by PrestaShop version and, on PrestaShop 1.7, it uses the Intervention Image library to resize and compress images.

What does this module do with the images in my PrestaShop store?

It improves the quality of your PrestaShop store’s images, makes them sharper and reduces their file size. It can also convert images to WebP format, an option you enable in the module settings.

How does it handle WebP and AVIF formats in each PrestaShop version?

On PrestaShop 8 and 9, it converts the main image to WebP when you enable that option in the settings. It also preserves AVIF images when PrestaShop generates them. WebP conversion is optional, so you can leave it disabled.

Can I preview the result before applying the settings?

Yes. It includes a simulator to preview the result of your settings and a sample area that uses an AJAX request to test them. You can choose from three quality levels and three sharpness levels: normal, high or very high.

What changes in my store when I install or uninstall the module?

On installation, it adds an override of the ImageManager class, which varies depending on your PrestaShop version. You can disable the module from its settings and, if you uninstall it, it removes its ImageManager override from your store.

Does the module process my customers’ personal data?

No, the module does not process personal data. Its job is to optimize the images in your PrestaShop store: it improves their quality, makes them sharper, reduces their file size and, if you enable it, converts them to WebP format.
