This module lets you easily and automatically regenerate all the images in your store. It is ideal for updating your images after a migration, after installing a new theme, on a slow server...

No server overload and no timeout issues

The module is especially suited to large catalogues and avoids server overload and timeouts. It does not overload your server and lets you regenerate all your images at once without any problems. Regenerating a large number of images on a slow server usually fails with PrestaShop's native feature because the server gets overloaded. We developed this module to solve that problem.

About the watermark

The module can add the watermark to your images (PrestaShop's native "watermark" module) only from PrestaShop 1.6.0.11 onwards. Our module creates an override of the "watermark" module.

Very easy to set up

1. Select the page types you want to regenerate images for (Products, Categories, Brands, Suppliers, Scenes and Stores)

2. Select the image types you want to regenerate (list of formats from the "Design > Image Settings" menu) >>> The module uses the settings defined in the "Design > Image Settings" menu

3. Choose whether to force the regeneration of all images or only generate the missing ones

4. Click "Regenerate"

Frequently asked questions

Why use this module instead of PrestaShop's built-in thumbnail regeneration?

It regenerates images in batches so your server is not overloaded, and it avoids timeout issues. That makes it suited to large catalogs. You can also choose which page type and image format to regenerate, and you get an email when the process finishes.

Can I schedule image regeneration with a cron job?

Yes. Scheduled regeneration runs through a URL with a token that your cron job calls, so you don't need to keep the module page open. The cron also creates images for new products automatically, processing them in batches to keep server load low.

Does it delete my existing images?

It's up to you. You can force regeneration of all images, deleting the previous ones, or generate only the missing images and keep the ones you already have. The second option lets you complete your catalog without rebuilding every thumbnail in your store.

Is it compatible with PrestaShop 9, multistore and watermarks?

Yes. It is compatible with PrestaShop 1.7.0 to 9.2 and with multistore mode. It can also add your watermark to regenerated images by calling PrestaShop's watermark module directly during batch regeneration.
