Dortomedical success story: visibility in ChatGPT and Gemini

Dortomedical is an ecommerce store for orthopaedics and medical supplies. At Línea Gráfica we migrated its store from PrestaShop to Shopify Plus, as you can see in its migration success story, and then worked on its visibility in artificial intelligence engines so that ChatGPT and Gemini would find and recommend it.

The challenge

After the migration, the store was already faster and more scalable, but Dortomedical was invisible to AI engines: when someone asked about products in its category, the brand did not appear in the answers.

Becoming visible to AI

ChatGPT and Gemini did not take Dortomedical into account when answering about orthopaedic products.

An understandable architecture

The website's structure had to make it easy for search engines and AI models to crawl and understand the catalogue.

Our work

At Línea Gráfica we applied AI with a specific goal: getting AI assistants to find Dortomedical and recommend it. To achieve this, we worked on three layers of the website: technical architecture, structured data and content.

Technical architecture

We improved the website's structure and technical SEO so the catalogue is crawled and interpreted correctly.

Structured data

We implemented structured data markup so engines understand what Dortomedical sells. Its homepage, for example, publishes its FAQs marked up as FAQPage.

AI visibility (GEO)

We worked on the website's content so that ChatGPT and Gemini find Dortomedical and recommend it in its category.

Results

Dortomedical went from being invisible to AI engines to becoming a benchmark in its category.
