The PrestaShop WordPress Integration module shows the posts of your WordPress blog in your shop: the latest ones on the home page, the articles about each product on its product page, the ones about each category on the category page, and a blog page with filters. Each post is linked to the products it mentions, with cards showing photo, name and price. It reads the posts through the WordPress REST API, with no plugin to install and no database password, and keeps a local cache so the shop is never slowed down. One-time payment. Compatible with PrestaShop 9.2 and with PrestaShop 1.7, 8 and 9, no overrides.

Your WordPress blog inside your PrestaShop store

Many shops write their blog in WordPress and sell with PrestaShop, on two websites that do not talk to each other: customers who buy never see your articles, and blog readers never see your products. With this module your posts appear where customers decide: on the home page, on the page of the product they talk about and in its category. Add as many blocks as you want, in a grid, carousel or list, with featured image, excerpt, date, author, categories and a «Read more» button.

Posts linked to your products

The module reads each post and finds the products it mentions: the links to your product pages and, if you want, the full product names in the text. Under each article, cards for those products are shown, and on each product page, the articles that talk about it. You can add or remove products by hand in the back office, and your changes are kept every time the posts are read again.

No plugin, no database and no slowdown

Nothing is installed in WordPress: the module uses the public REST API, the same one the WordPress editor uses, so you need no plugin and no access to the blog database. The posts are stored in the shop and renewed after the page is shown to the visitor, so the blog never slows down your PrestaShop. If the blog is down, the shop keeps showing the last copy. You can also renew them with a cron job.

SEO without duplicate content

The shop shows excerpts with a link to the original article. If you prefer the posts to be read inside the shop, those pages carry rel="canonical" to the WordPress article, so Google does not see them as duplicate content. The blocks and the blog page carry BlogPosting and ItemList structured data, and the blog page has its own title and meta per language.

Clean and safe HTML

The content coming from WordPress is cleaned before it is shown: no scripts, no unresolved page builder shortcodes ([vc_row], [gallery], [contact-form-7]...), no foreign iframes (only YouTube and Vimeo videos), and accents and special characters shown right.

Is the REST API of your WordPress closed?

Some security plugins (Wordfence, iThemes Security, Disable REST API...) close the REST API to visitors. The «Test the connection» button detects it and tells you what is wrong and how to fix it: allow reading posts in that plugin, or connect with a WordPress application password. It also warns when the server answers with a web page instead of the API, when the SSL certificate fails or when the blog is too slow, and it works with plain permalinks (?p=123).

Multilingual and multistore

If your blog is multilingual with WPML or Polylang Pro, each shop language reads the posts in its language out of the box; with free Polylang you just paste a small piece of code that the module gives you ready to use, with no plugin to install; if you have one WordPress per language, set its address in each one. In multistore, each shop has its own blog, blocks and settings. The module is translated into 8 languages.

Would you rather write the blog inside PrestaShop?

This module is for shops that already have their blog in WordPress. If you prefer to write the posts in PrestaShop itself, our Blog module (lgblog) does it, with an AI writer included. More info

PrestaShop 1.7.0 to 9.2 and PHP 7.1 or later with cURL. A WordPress 4.7 or later with the REST API reachable (it is on by default); if a security plugin closes it, an application password (WordPress 5.6 or later, with https). Compatible with PrestaShop 9.2.

Frequently asked questions

How do I show my WordPress blog posts in PrestaShop?

Install the WordPress Integration module, write the address of your blog and save: the module reads the published posts through the WordPress REST API and shows them on the home page, product pages, category pages and a blog page in the shop. Nothing changes in WordPress.

Do I need to install a plugin in WordPress?

No. The module uses the REST API that WordPress has had on by default since version 4.7. No plugin and no blog database password are needed.

How are posts linked to products?

The module detects the links in each post to your product pages and, if you switch it on, the full product names in the text. You can add or remove products by hand and your changes are kept.

Does it create duplicate content for Google?

No. The shop shows excerpts with a link to the original. If you choose to read the posts inside the shop, those pages carry rel="canonical" to the WordPress article, and you can also mark them noindex.

Will it slow down my shop?

No. The posts are stored in the shop and renewed after the page is shown, never while the visitor waits. If the blog does not answer, the last copy is shown.

What if the REST API of my WordPress is closed?

The connection test detects it and explains how to allow reading posts in your security plugin, or how to connect with a WordPress application password.

Does it work with a multilingual blog?

Yes: out of the box with WPML and Polylang Pro; with free Polylang, by pasting a small piece of code that the module provides ready to use (no plugin to install); or with a different WordPress per language. Each shop language shows the posts in its language.
