Microfusa is a benchmark in professional audio, musical instruments and training, with an online store, two physical points of sale running Shopify POS and its own training school. Together with Línea Gráfica, it unified four separate websites into a single Shopify ecosystem connected to its Sage 200 ERP, solving in the same project the sale of equipment, the school's invoicing under a different company, and the expansion into Portugal.

With Microfusa, the challenge was for visitors to experience a single website — buying a speaker and enrolling in a master's programme on the same site — when behind the scenes there are two separate invoicing entities: equipment is billed by one company and courses by another, through an expansion store with its own payment methods. A single connector to Sage 200 keeps both in sync.

The challenge

We identified a set of technical and operational challenges facing Microfusa in unifying its online, in-store and training operations on a single system.

Unifying three platforms

Four websites spread across Magento, Drupal and PrestaShop, with separate catalogues and histories, plus years of indexed URLs that couldn't be lost.

Merging duplicate catalogues

ArdeMadrid and Microfusa sold much of the same equipment. Duplicate listings needed to be unified, creating only the ones that were genuinely new.

Automating a massive catalogue

Tens of thousands of SKUs with pricing, stock spread across several warehouses, and delivery times that change daily.

Separating two invoicing flows

The store and the school had to look like a single site to visitors, yet equipment and courses are invoiced by different companies, each with its own numbering series and payment methods.

Expanding into Portugal

Two different VAT rates, a dedicated price catalogue and the right language for each market, without duplicating the store.

Connecting the counter and the website

The Barcelona and Madrid stores sell through Shopify POS, and their receipts needed to enter the ERP with the correct series, warehouse and sales rep, just like online orders.

Our work

We unified four websites into a single ecosystem, connected everything to the ERP through one connector, and solved both the sale of training courses and the international expansion.

Migration to Shopify

We migrated catalogues, customers and history from Magento, Drupal and PrestaShop, and mapped nearly 25,000 redirects to preserve the organic visibility already earned.

Catalogue merge

We cross-checked ArdeMadrid's listings against Microfusa's: duplicates were merged into a single product, and only the 7,542 genuinely new SKUs were created.

A single ERP connector

We developed a private app that connects all three stores to Sage 200, enabling in each one only what it needs: catalogue, pricing, stock, customers, orders or invoices.

Automatic catalogue and stock

The full catalogue syncs every night, and real stock by warehouse syncs several times a day, with delivery times calculated from the ERP and shown on the product page.

Promotion automation

The reference price is set by the ERP; an automation activates each promotion on its scheduled date and restores the previous price on its own once it ends.

Store and school unified

Equipment and training coexist under the same domain and navigation, and when a course is purchased, payment is routed to an expansion store that invoices under the other company.

Expansion into Portugal

A dedicated price catalogue with both Portuguese VAT rates, built on the same store.

POS connected to the ERP

Receipts from Barcelona and Madrid reach the ERP with their series, warehouse, sales rep and payment method, sharing catalogue and stock with the website.

Search by reference

We extended the search engine so that different ways of typing a manufacturer's code return the same results.

Price match guarantee

We added a form on the product page so customers can flag a lower price elsewhere, with anti-bot verification and an automatic alert to the sales team.

Results

Microfusa now runs its store, its school and its distribution catalogue on a single Shopify ecosystem, with the ERP as the single source of truth for catalogue, stock and invoicing. Every order — whether placed online, at the counter or as a course enrolment — reaches the right company automatically.
