Unlimited number of redirects

With this module you can create as many redirects as you like and choose between three redirect types:

• 301 – URL moved permanently to a new location
• 302 – URL moved temporarily to a new location
• 303 – GET method to retrieve the information

All the redirects created in the module are shown in a table at the bottom of the module page, and you can delete them at any time.

NOTE: Each link must be entered in full (1 URL = 1 redirect); wildcards (*, ?, etc.) cannot be used to replace strings of characters.

• Edit the redirects you have created from your back office

From the “List of created redirects” tab you can edit and/or delete redirects.

• List of pages not found

From the “List of pages not found” tab you can see the pages not found on your website.

In this tab you can add the URL you want the page not found to redirect to.

IMPORTANT: for pages not found to be listed, make sure the pages not found module is enabled.

Is it right for my store?

With our module you can create:

• Internal redirects within the same domain (to fix 404 errors, for example)
• External redirects between two stores for a migration (please read the lines below carefully to check whether the module suits your needs)

IMPORTANT:

Our module can only redirect pages from the domain where the module is installed.

For example, if the module is installed on www.dominio.es, it can redirect pages ONLY from www.dominio.es

to any other domain. You can use our module:

• If your old store and your new store have the same domain
• Or if your old store has a different domain AND is a PrestaShop store (in this case, the redirects module must be installed on the old PrestaShop store)

You CANNOT use our module:

• If your old store has a different domain AND is not a PrestaShop store
• Or if your PrestaShop store is installed in a subdirectory (for example www.domino.es/prestashop/) and you need to redirect pages located at the root of the site or in another subdirectory (the module can only redirect URLs starting with www.domino.es/prestashop/)

Create redirects individually (one by one)

• Enter the old URI without http or https, www or domain (it must start with “/”). Example: /es/mujer/antigua-camiseta.html. It is automatically applied to the domain where the module is installed (if you use multistore, select at the top of the page the store the redirect should apply to).
• Enter the new URL with http or https, www and domain (it must start with “http” or “https”). Example: http://www.domain.com/es/mujer/nueva-camiseta.html
• Choose the redirect type (301, 302 or 303)
• Click “Create redirect”

Create redirects in bulk (CSV importer):

• Create a CSV file with Excel (a sample CSV is included with the module)
• In the first column, enter all the old URIs, one per line, without http or https, www or domain (they must start with “/”). Example: /es/mujer/antigua-camiseta.html. They are automatically applied to the domain given in the 4th column.
• In the second column, enter all the new URLs, one per line, with http or https, www and domain (they must start with “http” or “https”). Example: http://www.domain.com/es/mujer/nueva-camiseta.html
• In the third column, enter the redirect type you want for each line (301, 302 or 303)
• In the fourth column, enter the ID of the store the URI in column 1 should apply to (multistore). If you don’t use multistore, simply enter “1” so the redirect applies to your domain.
• Save the file, open the module, click “Browse”, select the file and click “Upload CSV file” to create all the redirects automatically.

Additional features

The module includes some extra features that you may find very useful:

• The “Pages not found” button generates a CSV file listing all the pages not found in your store (you can easily edit this file and then upload it to our module to quickly create redirects for those pages).
• The “Export all redirects” button exports all the redirects created in the module to a CSV file, so you can keep a backup.
• The “Delete” and “Delete all redirects” buttons let you remove a single redirect or all redirects at once, at any time.
• An orange warning flag is shown in the redirects table when there are several redirects for the same page.
• A red warning flag is shown in the redirects table when a redirect is not correctly formatted.

No changes to the .htaccess file

The module does NOT touch or write to the .htaccess file: redirects are handled directly in the page code and stored in the database (the module creates its own table).
